2. Register a Unit

Once you have your user(s) ready, you should prepare, register, and provision your Unit, which is your device(s).

How AosEdge works with your devices​

Assuming the upcoming era of SDV (Software Defined Vehicles), AosEdge is a holistic framework and platform for managing your vehicles, equipments, devices and virtual environments at a very large scale, considering use by global car companies and large enterprises.

Virtual and physical devices​

Units can be either virtual or physical devices.

If virtual, it can be a virtual device on your laptop, or running on your public cloud instance, etc..

If physical, it can be a tiny setup for PoC or evaluation, sample SoC boards for R&D and development, or automotive-grade HPC (High Perfomance Compute), CCU (Central Compute Unit), etc. for final mass production and day-to-day operations.

  • with AosVM - Easiest way to start. If you don't have any hardware device, start here.
  • with AosEdge for Rpi5 - If you have a Raspberry Pi 5, you can quickly try with actual hardware. Also, our pre-built image allows you to easily prepare environment for mixed-critical deployment and orchestration.
