AosCore AWS interaction

loading...

Aos Cloud and Aos Core interaction happens over the internet, as prerequisite fleet owner or operator should issue the aos keys and certificates, for more information on how-to please check the cookbooks - Get access to Aos Cloud section.

Aos Core devices need to communicate with aos cloud to read queues and get updates, in summary this interaction consist in:

  • Register Unit / Provision unit
    • In this step the unit will be registered in the aos cloud database and added to proper fleet/ownership.
    • Aos Cloud will handle the unit queues backend, and assign a queue to the unit to read from.
    • Technical detailed information in Create and provision unit section.
  • Unit can start to read the Queue status to get updates
  • If there is an update, unit will read this new queue and download/get the proper blob version, afterwards, the unit should be able to install this newer version in their system.
